AHAM BRAHMASMI

Welcome to Flowity Flow Club!

In my current teacher training, I've been diving into chanting—an entirely new area of study for me. One mantra that has resonated deeply is "Aham Brahmasmi," meaning "I am divine." This phrase feels like a beautiful reflection of something personal to my faith: "I am a child of God." Initially, I was hesitant about the homework assignment of choosing a mantra, but this exploration has been a meaningful way to blend my spiritual beliefs with my yoga practice.

For this week's Flow Chat, I’m excited to share three teaching insights to inspire your classes:

  1. Flow Combination

Discover the details behind this flow's creation, step by step. It includes a mini flow, two distinct sequences, and a focus on transitions. Each piece builds toward a final, cohesive flow that will leave your students feeling grounded and energized.

  2. Transition Exploration

Reverse Warrior to Half Moon is a common transition, but this week we’re taking time to break it down. I’ll show you how focusing on this single transition can bring fresh awareness and intention to your teaching.

  3. Supported Side Plank

A sneaky move this week! I used Supported Side Plank as a way to subtly switch the feet without moving through Downward-Facing Dog. This small tweak keeps your students engaged and adds an element of surprise to your sequence.
