Welcome back, Flowity Flow Club! I'm so glad you're here for another week of fresh content. This week's class features a few unique, but not overly complex, elements that will help spark creativity in your teaching. Be sure to check out the real-time flow video first—it's SO helpful in pinpointing some key aspects of the sequence!
This week, we're diving into a reversed flow. Occasionally, I love to introduce a reverse flow moment in class. All we’re doing is taking the same poses but switching up the entry point by stringing them together in reverse. It’s a fantastic challenge for the brain, and it shakes things up without overwhelming students with entirely new material. The best part? This class can easily be adapted for a basics audience, so if you teach beginners, I’ve got some insights in the flow chat on how to make this flow accessible while still keeping it dynamic.
In this week's flow chat, I cover four key topics:
A walk-through of this week's two flows and how they seamlessly fit together to create one long super flow.
How (and why) I reversed the flow to add a bit of creativity and challenge, making the class feel fresh and engaging.
How to modify this class for a basics audience, offering ideas for scaling back intensity while maintaining the integrity of the flow.
A fun 'elbow-knee tap' movement that became a mini-theme of the class, adding some playful energy to the practice.
I'm so glad you're part of Flowity Flow Club! Check back each week for new classes, tips, and teaching ideas to keep your yoga teaching fresh and inspired. When you approach your teaching with support and encouragement, you'll walk into the studio feeling confident and ready to lead.
