Welcome back, Flowity Flow Club!
This week's flow strikes a beautiful balance between grounding and balancing. After teaching this class, a student came up to me and said, "I just love your classes. They're so thoughtfully put together. I can always tell when a teacher has just thrown a bunch of poses together, and that's never the case with you."
Hearing this was incredibly validating because it captured exactly what I aim for in every yoga class I create as a yoga teacher :
To prepare both the mind and body for success, so that when we reach the final peak flow, everything comes together seamlessly. This is the essence of intelligent sequencing—it's not just about stringing poses together but creating a journey that makes sense.
Today’s class is a prime example of this approach. In the flow chat, we’ll dive into three key topics:
Flow Combo: I always start by breaking down the flow—first in parts, then in combination. This ensures you fully understand the sequence before we put it all together.
Push Moment: After each side of the final flow, I’ve added a small challenge. I’ll explain why I did this and how it enhances the overall practice.
Abs & Backbends: You’ve probably heard me mention how I love to incorporate a “dynamic” abs and backbends section at the end of class. I’ll share what that means and give you one of my top tips for making it amazing!
